Setting up Time Machine server on Ubuntu Server

sudo apt-get install netatalk avahi-daemonmkdir /TimeCapsule/
sudo chown {username} /TimeCapsule/sudo mv /etc/netatalk/AppleVolumes.default /etc/netatalk/AppleVolumes.default.oldsudo vim /etc/netatalk/AppleVolumes.default
:DEFAULT: options:upriv,usedots/home/danny/tm "Time Capsule" options:tm volsizelimit:1000000 allow:{username}
sudo service netatalk restart

“Connect to server…” (or ⌘+K) afp://server.ip/System Preferences > Time Machine, “Select Disk…”Make your server appear as Xserve in Finder:

sudo vim /etc/avahi/services/afpd.service
